MOU signed between DAI and EPHI
The Ethiopian Public Health Institute (EPHI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Development Alternatives Inc. (DAI) Global Health, LLC (“DAI”) to establish areas of collaboration to establish a secure, reliable and technologically advanced National Data Management Center for health (NDMC) on October 12, 2018.
According to the MOU in addition to establishing a secure, reliable and technologically advanced NDMC, the two parties share mutual interest to establish strengthen and network local and international collaborations.
The MOU further states that DAI agrees to collaborate with EPHI in support of the NDMC for health, providing services that include but are not limited to: technical support, materials review, and the sharing of knowledge, standards, recommendations and best practices pulled from extensive experience establishing data management centers in Tanzania, Kenya, and Zambia; these are few of the collaborative agreement areas between the two parties.
The MOU was signed by EPHI’s Deputy Director General Dr. Tsigereda Kifle and President of DAI Global Health Christopher A. LeGrand.
On the signing ceremony Dr. Tsigereda explained the potential and significance of EPHI in the countries health sector.
